Food service members at Compass ratify new contract – UFCW 1006A
Toronto – July 7, 2022 – UFCW 1006A members at Compass Maple Leaf Lounges in Toronto Pearson International Airport are celebrating after securing a new collective agreement that improves wages, sick leave, and more.
“We are proud of the continued excellence demonstrated by our local union negotiating committees,” says UFCW 1006A President Wayne Hanley. “They make life better for thousands of members and their families all across Ontario.”
Members gained a 10 percent increase to wages over the life of the agreement, an additional sick day, lump sum payments, an improved shoe allowance, and recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a paid statutory holiday.
