Representation for Uber drivers now available at Calgary Greenlight Hub

Calgary – July 5, 2022 – Uber drivers can now access UFCW Canada representation from the Calgary Greenlight Hub, where representatives have been on-site to assist with reactivations and other concerns that workers experience with the app-based company.

UFCW Canada representatives have been welcomed by the company to introduce themselves to drivers, share information regarding union benefits, and assist drivers with issues surrounding licensing, background checks, and deactivation.  

Advocacy at the Greenlight Hub has been a cornerstone to successful reactivations, counselling, and awareness-building among drivers after launching the program in Ottawa and Mississauga.

Drivers can now depend on these services in Calgary, where meeting representatives in-person makes for stronger connections and trustworthy rapport, which has proven to be beneficial to many drivers who have accessed union representation.
