Maintenance workers at Avenue Living join the union – UFCW 401
Lloydminster, Alta. – June 21, 2022 – Maintenance workers across eleven Avenue Living communities in Lloydminster, Alberta are the newest members to join UFCW 401 after securing a successful certification vote.
“A warm welcome to the dedicated workers at Avenue Living to our local union,” says UFCW 401 President Thomas Hesse. “We are committed to giving them the representation they deserve and look forward to bargaining their first agreement in the coming months.”
The new members work as maintenance and renovation staff servicing more than 900 living units across Lloydminster. Workers organized to improve working conditions and secure respect on the job in recognition of their dedicated service to clients.
