Food service members at Aramark build a better life – UFCW 401
Calgary – May 19, 2022 – UFCW 401 members at Aramark – University of Calgary recently secured a new three-year collective agreement that increases wages, job security, statutory holidays, and more.
“Congratulations to the negotiating committee for their hard work and determination in pushing for these contract improvements,” says UFCW 401 President Thomas Hesse. “The hard-working members at Aramark – University of Calgary can attest; it pays to belong and when united we can make great achievements.”
In the new collective agreement, members will enjoy 3 percent retroactive pay from October 2019 to October 2021 and 2.5 percent in year-one, 2.5 percent in year-two, 3 percent in year-three, and 3 percent upon contract expiry.
In addition to the wage increases, members will receive additional float days, bereavement leave, and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a paid statutory holiday.
