Victoria, B.C. – May 13, 2022 – UFCW 1518 member and University of Victoria Bachelor of Arts candidate Ronin Zeiger is the latest recipient of the BDM Scholarship award, which provides $1,000 to members and their family members pursuing post-secondary education.

“A career in writing has always felt like a distant fantasy, seen in reality through an eyeglass,” says the first-year fine arts major. “But bit by bit, inch by inch, this passion for writing feels closer to reality, to something I can accomplish with the bountiful assistance of this scholarship.”

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
