Oshawa, Ont. – January 10, 2022 – UFCW 1006A members at the Best Western Plus Durham Hotel and Conference Centre have recently ratified a new collective agreement that increases wages and provides additional paid sick days and stat holiday pay, in addition to other improvements.

“I thought the contract was great – the union got us more than what the company was willing to give,” said Cindy Wallace, UFCW 1006A Steward and Bargaining Committee Member. “The union did an amazing job and since I've never been on the negotiating committee before, it served as an interesting and good experience.”
