Retirement home workers at Royal Henley join the union – UFCW 175 & 633

by the numbersSt. Catharines, Ont. – December 6, 2021 – Workers at Royal Henley Retirement Community are the newest members to join UFCW 175 & 633's HOPE sector for health care professionals after securing a successful certification vote.

The bargaining unit was formed to improve wages, benefits, job security, health and safety, and working conditions. Many of the new members work as Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in addition to lifestyle, housekeeping, dietary, and kitchen personnel roles.
