Members at MEC achieve new contract – UFCW 1518
Vancouver – November 8, 2021 – UFCW 1518 members at Mountain Equipment Company (MEC) locations in Vancouver and Victoria recently ratified a new collective agreement with 98% approval that will raise wages, introduce new classifications and wage scales while guaranteeing more full-time positions.
Members of the bargaining committee secured 8% and 9% wage increases for clerks, introduces improved wale scale and classifications for bike mechanic, visual merchandiser, inventory specialist and daily stock specialist. The new contact also guarantees full-time employment.
