UFCW Canada endorses United Together for OFL Executive

Toronto – October 20, 2021 – UFCW Canada is proud to endorse the United Together team of Patty Coates for Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) President, Ahmad Gaied for OFL Secretary-Treasurer, and Janice Folk-Dawson for OFL Executive Vice-President.

“Patty, Ahmad, and Janice are an incredible team of union activists who have helped to strengthen the OFL over the last two years,” says UFCW Canada National President Paul Meinema. “As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, I know we can count on Team United Together to push for a just recovery that puts workers and communities first – with good jobs, paid sick leave, and an end to precarious work,” Meinema adds.

“UFCW Canada is therefore encouraging all delegates to the upcoming OFL Convention, November 2-4, to help Build Worker Power by electing United Together to lead the Ontario Federation of Labour.”
