UFCW Canada Equity Grant Program
Applications for the 2026 UFCW Canada Equity Grant are now open.
The program builds on UFCW Canada’s longstanding mandate to support the work of both UFCW members and the communities they serve.
The Equity Grant Program aims to support newcomer programs, human rights initiatives, and community action projects which are being led or will be led by applicants in 2026/2027.

How to apply
Annually, the new Equity Grant Program consists of up to three grants – worth $1,000 each – made available to UFCW Canada members and allies. The application for the 2026 Equity Grant are now open. Deadline is October 30, 2026.
Prospective applicants will have the ability to apply under one of three different streams. These include Newcomer/Immigration Stream; Human Rights Stream and the Community Action Stream.
Applicants must supply a 250-word short description or a short video on what they will do if they are named a winner of the Equity Grant Program.
UFCW Canada reserves the right to select the awarding of a grant recipient earlier than October 30 if the requested initiative for which the grant is to support involves a project with a timeline envisioned before the October 30 deadline, and UFCW Canada selects this application.
