UFCW Canada launches new health and safety resource, Protecting Yourself from COVID-19 at Work
Toronto – November 12, 2020 – As the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, UFCW Canada has launched a new health and safety resource aimed at helping workers protect themselves from the coronavirus.
Called “Protecting Yourself from COVID-19 at Work,” the new webpage features information on your health and safety rights in the workplace and the steps that you, your employer, and your workplace health and safety committee can take to minimize and prevent exposure to the coronavirus at work.
The webpage also features a downloadable poster highlighting the specific health and safety precautions – including hand washing, mask wearing, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and keeping 2 metres between yourself and others – that can help stop the spread and transmission of COVID-19.
