Toronto – February 28, 2013 – To commemorate this year’s International Women’s Day, marked on March 8 every year, UFCW Canada is proud to assist Local Unions, activists, friends and supporters in celebrating this important day of recognition and achievement through a new poster that is now freely available for sharing in workplaces, schools and social media networks.
The 2013 International Women’s Day – available in both English and French – is now available for downloading by clicking here or by visiting www.ufcw.ca/posters.
Each year, March 8 and the week of March 8 provide an opportunity to take stock of our progress towards gender equality and to honour the contributions women have made and are making — both in Canada and around the world.
