Toronto – October 21, 2020 – October 25 is World Pasta Day, a time to celebrate all things noodly and saucy with one of the most beloved and versatile dishes across the globe.
Pasta is a very popular food in Canada, as dry pasta sales amounted to $348.82 million in 2019, while other types of pasta and remaining sauces garnered sales of approximately $302.63 million last year. Per capita consumption of pasta, meanwhile, is projected to be 7.9 kilograms for 2020, according to Statista.
Whether you like fettuccine, linguine, lasagna, macaroni, pappardelle, or spaghetti, World Pasta Day is the perfect time to eat delicious, Canadian-made pastas and pasta sauces.
