Ottawa – June 10, 2020 – Kaitlyn Henry is one of eighteen winners of the UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship. Currently enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Kaitlyn is a proud UFCW Local 175 member who works at Rexall.

Sister Henry had the following to say about winning a UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship:

“I started last school year in the Pre-Health Sciences program at Algonquin College. After my second day of classes, I was offered a spot in the Practical Nursing program and I immediately accepted! This scholarship will help assist with the additional tuition fees and textbooks required for my new program. I would like to thank UFCW Canada for their generosity and for choosing me as a recipient of this scholarship. I truly appreciate the support!”

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their families every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.

The deadline to apply for this year’s BDM Scholarship is September 30, 2020.
