Help bring justice to workers at Mama Earth Organics

Toronto – February 28, 2019 – UFCW Canada is calling all activists to send a message to Mama Earth Organics, telling them to respect their employees' wishes to join a union.

Mama Earth Organics is an organic food delivery service. The company proclaims it cares about its farmers, the environment, and its products — but what about the workers?

A majority of packers, drivers and warehouse workers at Mama Earth Organics voted in favour of their union, UFCW Canada. But they’ve been roadblocked by the employer’s insistence that ballots cast by voters outside of the union’s bargaining unit should also be counted. Ballots cast by individuals who do not share a community of interest with the packers and drivers should not be used to hold up the union process any longer.
