Members at Coca-Cola Winnipeg achieve new deal – UFCW 832
Winnipeg – May 12, 2018 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members working at the Coca-Cola distribution facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba have overwhelmingly ratified a new collective agreement that brings improvements to wages, pensions, benefits, and more.
Local 832 members at the Coca-Cola facility work in a variety of duties such as production, maintenance, mechanical, delivery, and set up.
Highlights of the new four-year contract include:

5.5% wage increase for all classifications throughout the duration of the contract;

$200 lump sum payment for all full-time employees;
-
An additional wage adjustment for all drivers and service technicians;

20% increase to short-term disability benefits;
-
Footwear allowance increase;
-
Pension plan benefit increase; and
-
Change to meal allowance language so full per diems are provided upfront and receipts are no longer required.
“The negotiating committee unanimously recommended acceptance of this new agreement and we are glad about the support we received from the members,” says UFCW 832 lead negotiator Martin Trudel. “We were also able to achieve lots of good cleanup language changes,” he adds.
