Drummondville, Que. – February 24, 2018 – Workers at the Les petits rayons d'art nursery school in Drummondville, Quebec are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 501 after recently saying “Yes!” to joining the union. An application for certification was approved by the Quebec administrative labour tribunal earlier this month.

The nursery school employees decided to join UFCW Canada Local 501 to gain the strength of a collective agreement and to add their voices to Canada’s leading union. UFCW’s know-how and expertise in the private day care sector were additional factors behind the Les petits rayons d'art employees decision to join UFCW 501.

Alain Lachaîne, President of UFCW Local 501, said that by choosing an international union like UFCW, the Les petits rayons d'art workers have secured the best possible representation in their workplace.
