Winnipeg – November 14, 2016 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members working at G4S Secure Solutions throughout Manitoba have unanimously ratified a new collective agreement.

The new four year deal doubles the amount of sick time members can use as well as expands employer paid benefits to both full and part time workers. Members who have to drive will also receive an increase on their driving premium as well as a mileage increase when using their own vehicle.

The collective agreement now provides paid training for all client mandated training sessions.

"This contract strengthens Local 832's position as the leading union in the province for workers in the security sector," says UFCW Canada Local 832 President Jeff Traeger. "We were able to achieve gains for members who work in a what is often a dangerous field of work."

Over 140 UFCW Canada Local 832 members work for G4S Secure Solutions throughout Manitoba.
