Mississauga, Ont. – April 1, 2016 – Workers at Impulse Graphic & Display Solutions in Mississauga, Ontario are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 1000A after voting to join the union last month.

The Impulse employees create signage, graphics, and displays for companies across the Greater Toronto Area. They joined the union to obtain better scheduling and higher wages.

“On behalf of Local 1000A, I am proud to welcome the Impulse workers to the UFCW Canada family, and I commend them for the strength and solidarity that they showed in coming together to improve their workplace,” says Pearl Sawyer, president of UFCW Canada Local 1000A.

“The first step to achieving a better workplace begins with union representation,” says Jonathan Lobo, Organizing Coordinator for Local 1000A. “By joining UFCW Canada, the Impulse workers have shown that they are committed to securing a better future for themselves, their families, and their colleagues,” he adds.
