Over 350 social services workers in Toronto recently voted for strength at work in the community by saying “Yes!” to UFCW Canada.  

The new UFCW Canada Local 175 members work for Meta Centres, one of Ontario’s leading support and service providers for people with developmental disabilities, including those persons with dual diagnoses and multiple disabilities.

According to the Local 175 activists who helped the new members with their winning campaign, many of the Meta Centre workers were motivated to organize for greater job security and more fairness with schedules and job postings.
