UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winner: Georgina Camacho Ibarra, UFCW 333

UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winner: Georgina Camacho Ibarra, UFCW 333Toronto – February 1, 2016 – Georgina Camacho Ibarra is one of eighteen UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winners for 2015 (to apply for the 2016 UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship, click here).

Currently in her final year of the Accounting and Payroll diploma program at the Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology, Georgina is a proud UFCW Canada Local 333 member who works at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.

Sister Camacho Ibarra had the following to say about winning a UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship:

"I am very grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of the UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship. This financial aid will help bring me one step closer to completing my education and attaining my diploma as a Payroll Practitioner. I truly appreciate the support from UFCW Canada, and I feel very encouraged to continue with my accounting career aspirations as my husband and I look toward the future."

Every year UFCW Canada offers a total of eighteen union scholarships worth $1,000 each to members, their spouses, and dependants for post-secondary education. The BDM scholarship was created to honour past UFCW leaders William Beggs, Fred Dowling, and Romeo Mathieu.
