Members at Conche Seafood achieve new contract – UFCW 1252
Conche, N.L. – July 16, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 1252 members working at the Conche Seafood processing plant in Conche, Newfoundland have ratified a new collective agreement.
The Conche Seafood processing plant is a longstanding fixture in the local community, with roots dating back to the 1960s. It specializes in the processing of frozen fish products.
The newly-ratified three-year contract includes wage increases of 40 cents per hour in Year 1, 40 cents per hour in Year 2, and 30 cents per hour in Year 3. The Conche Seafood members will also receive one extra day of paid holiday under the new contract.
The union negotiating committee included Paul Talbot and UFCW Canada National Representative Dave Hann. UFCW Canada Local 1252 would like to thank the Conche Seafood members and the negotiating committee for their excellent work and patience during negotiations.
