Carberry, Man. – May 30, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members working at McCain Foods in Carberry, Manitoba have ratified a new collective agreement.

McCain Foods is a major producer of potato products – such as frozen fries and hash brown patties – and its Carberry facility is home to over 230 UFCW Local 832 members.

The new three-year contract includes wage increases of 5.25 percent over the life of the agreement.

"This is a strong contract for the members at McCain Foods," says UFCW Local 832 President Jeff Traeger. "We were able to achieve significant gains for members, as well as prevent concessions demanded by the employer that would have negatively impacted the workforce," Brother Traeger adds.
