Sainte-Thérèse, Que. – April 4, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 500 members at the IGA Daigle food retail location in Sainte-Thérèse have achieved a new collective agreement.  The new contract provides a number of gains and improvement for the more than 150 members at the store.

A UFCW Local 500 bargaining has been in place at the IGA Daigle since the 1980s.The newly ratified contract provides members a number of  improvements, including the creation of a new regular employee status, and a 10% wage increase for all members who are in the top tier of the salary range.

‘‘We are very happy and proud about the results of this bargaining round for all IGA Daigle employees,” says UFCW Canada Local 500 President Antonio Filato. The new contract builds on the gains of previous contracts, with improved language and wages. This is also a great example of an agreement that suits both parties,” says UFCW Canada Local 500 President Antonio Filato.
