Starting this May, the UFCW Canada webCampus will be offering a new course called Communicating in Tough Moments.

“We all experience tough moments in life, and good communication is the key to getting through and resolving the challenges we face during difficult periods,” says Marv Funk, UFCW Canada Training & Education coordinator.  

The objectives of the course are to improve our ability to communicate during tough moments by discussing what makes moments difficult and offering some helpful conflict resolution approaches.

Topics for the new course include:

• What is conflict?
• Unhealthy ways to deal with the tough moments
• Five approaches to reducing the tensions of a conflict
• Results that move everyone forward

The first offering of Communicating in Tough Moments will run from May 1 to 28, 2012, and registration for this course is already open. At the present time, this course is only available in English.
