Niagara Falls, Ont. – October 5, 2013 – More than 100 members and officers from UFCW Canada Local 12R24 enthusiastically participated in the Together Fairness Works workshop at the Local Union’s activist conference recently held in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Toronto – October 2, 2013 – UFCW Canada activists recently joined Egale Canada at the 5th Annual Egale Human Rights Trust Gala to celebrate another year of success. The gala also marked the launch of a groundbreaking report by Egale Canada that offers twenty recommendations for the prevention of suicide among LGBTQ youth in Canada.
Winnipeg – September 27, 2013 – The UFCW Local 832 bargaining committee representing more than 3,000 Superstore and Extra Foods members in Manitoba, shook hands on a on a tentative deal with Loblaw officials yesterday at 4 p.m.
Edmonton – September 27, 2013 – Alberta’s largest private-sector Local Union, UFCW 401, is welcoming home care workers in Edmonton to Canada’s leading union, after employees at two facilities – Balwin Villa and Grand Manor – recently voted to improve their living standards by joining the UFCW.
