Granby, Que. – October 24, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 501 members at the Provigo Gilbert Ouellet inc. supermarket in Granby have unanimously ratified a new collective agreement with the employer.

Toronto – October 24, 2013 – More than 15,000 UFCW Canada members in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba have ratified new contracts with Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada’s largest food retailer.
Montreal – October 23, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 501 is pleased to welcome more than 60 agriculture workers at Novafruit in Montreal. Local 501 recently filed an application for certification under article 25 of the provincial labour code to represent the employees of the company, based in St-Paul-d'Abbotsford near Granby in Quebec. In a decision issued on October 17, 2013, UFCW Local 501 was awarded union certification by the Quebec Labour Relations Commission.
Winnipeg – October 22, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members at Vista Park Lodge recently voted 97 percent in favour of a new and improved collective agreement, ending a strike that began on September 14.
Ajax, Ont. – October 21, 2013 – Workers at Aspect Retail Logistics in Ajax, Ontario have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a first contract as the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 1000A.
Saskatoon, Sask. - October 20, 2013 - A team of UFCW Canada Local 1400 activists and family members recently joined 500 hundred other participants for the Light the Night walk in Saskatoon.
Oaxaca de Juarez, Mexico – October 19, 2013 – The Oaxacan Institute for Migrants (IOAM) and UFCW Local 5 have signed a Letter of Understanding aimed at protecting the rights of migrant workers and their families in the United States. This mutual cooperation agreement will benefit more than 800,000 Oaxacans who live in California.
