Toronto – April 24, 2015 – UFCW Canada activists joined social justice allies in the heart of Toronto's financial district to mark the second anniversary of the collapse of the Rana Plaza garment factory in Bangladesh where more than 1,100 workers were killed on the job.

Kitimat, B.C. – April 22, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 247 is proud to welcome workers at the Kitimat Recycling depot (KUTE) as the newest members of the Local Union. The BC Labour Relations Board certified the new Local 247 bargaining unit after a majority of workers voted "YES" to join the union.

Toronto – April 20, 2015 – According to a new study by the CIBC, profits for corporations in Canada have hit a 27-year high, however it does not seem as though the increased revenue in the form of profits has trickled down to workers, as Canada's economy shrunk, due to mass layoffs, store closures and a reluctance from corporations to invest into people.
