Edmonton, Winnipeg & Quebec City – October 3, 2015 – Over the course of the same evening in three different provinces, UFCW Canada activists joined thousands of walkers for annual Light the Night fundraising events to raise hope and funds for blood cancer research, outreach and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
Calgary – October 2, 2015 – The Mayor of Calgary has blasted Stephen Harper for inciting ethnic wedge politics to help the Harper Conservative party gain votes in the upcoming federal election. “This is disgusting and it is time for us to say stop it,” said Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi in a radio interview in Thursday.
