Service members at Telepartners Call Centre achieve gains – UFCW 1006A
Toronto – May 8, 2020 – UFCW Local 1006A members working at Telepartners Call Centre have achieved a new union contract that provides wage increases, benefit gains, and more.
The 35 members at Telepartners work in a variety of roles, including customer service agents, shift leaders, and bilingual customer service agents.
Under their new collective agreement, which runs until August 2022, members will see the following improvements:
- Part-time workers now have benefits;
- Increased sick leave time;
- Three weeks vacation after three years of service; and
- Wage increases of $1 per hour in each year of the contract.
“On behalf of UFCW Local 1006A, I would like to congratulate the members at Telepartners Call Centre on their new union contract,” says UFCW 1006A President Wayne Hanley. “Through our hard work at the bargaining table, we were able to negotiate numerous gains for members.”
