Solidarity reigned at the recent UFCW Canada Saskatchewan Women’s Conference held in Saskatoon. This unique two-day, annual event, was joined by a record number of participants. Altogether, 53 sisters attended from Saskatchewan-based UFCW Canada Local Unions including 248P, 342P, 649, and 1400.

Calgary Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Women
Calgary, AB – 2012 is the fourth year that Calgarians will gather on Valentine's Day to honour the memories of women gone missing or murdered in Canada and to keep alive the hope that justice will be seen for these women and their families. Held at Scarboro United Church, the Calgary Valentine's Day Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Women will begin at 6:30pm.
More than 1,900 women activists, students, researchers and trade unionists recently gathered in Ottawa, July 3 to 7, for the 2011 Women's Worlds Congress. UFCW Canada was one of the event's sponsors, which every three years draws participants from around the world to explore how issues like equality, human rights, economics, labour rights, and education impact women.
