Toronto – January 24, 2025 – In the face of an escalating trade war between Canada and the United States, our union’s priority is to protect our members – especially the 40,000 UFCW members who work in manufacturing and food production – and all Canadian workers. Knowing the potential devastation that tariffs can bring, we call on all levels of government to act to protect Canadian jobs and Canadian workers.
