Up for Debate campaign changes gears
Toronto – September 24, 2015 – Up for Debate, the UFCW-supported campaign to make women's rights and gender equality key issues in the 2015 Federal Election campaign, is shifting gears with a new social media campaign, petition, and a number of events lined up between now and Election Day.


Virgil, Ont. – September 22, 2015 – Migrant agriculture workers from across Ontario's Niagara region recently gathered at the Agriculture Workers Alliance (AWA) centre in Virgil, Ontario to celebrate Mexico's Independence Day and for the AWA's annual community barbeque.
Mexico City – September 17, 2015 – UFCW Canada recently attended the 2015 International Metropolis Conference in Mexico City, Mexico, where academic scholars, government administrators, and social justice and labour activists gathered to examine issues of migration, immigration, and labour mobility in North America.
Toronto – September 15, 2015 – UFCW Canada has called on the Harper government to stop playing fear-mongering politics and speed up the process to bring Syrian refugees to Canada, and has contributed with other labour allies to establish a Canadian Labour Congress/Canadian Council for Refugees fund to help support the settlement of Syrian refugees in Canada.
Calgary – September 10, 2014 – UFCW Canada activists were loud and proud at the 25th Anniversary Calgary Pride Parade.
Ottawa – September 9, 2015 – The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that Ecuadorean villagers affected by contamination caused by the Chevron Corporation can legally pursue the company's assets in a Canadian court.
