This December 24, we remember victims of Christmas Eve scaffold tragedy

Toronto – December 19, 2016 – December 24 marks the seventh anniversary of the Christmas Eve scaffold tragedy, in which four migrant workers were killed and another seriously injured after the scaffold that was supporting them collapsed at a Toronto worksite.


Calgary – December 15, 2016 – For the second year in a row, in honour of the December 6 National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, UFCW Canada members in Alberta stepped up to the plate to help victims of gender-based violence by collecting shoes for local women’s shelters as part of a province-wide shoe drive.

Toronto – December 5, 2016 – UFCW Canada activists recently joined over 600 community leaders and attendees at the “Radio Voces Latinas” gala in Toronto, to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Canada's first Spanish-speaking community radio station, CHHA 1610 AM Radio Voces.
Washington, D.C. – November 22, 2016 – UFCW Canada was recently honoured for its work in combating and raising awareness of sickle cell anemia at the 18th Annual UFCW Minority Coalition Awards Dinner, held in Washington, D.C. on November 19.
