International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination – March 21, 2017
Toronto – March 20, 2017 – In 1966, the United Nations declared March 21 as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, in memory of the 1960 Sharpeville massacre when South African police killed 69 anti-apartheid protesters.


Saskatoon, Sask. – March 15, 2017 – UFCW women activists from across the province gathered March 10 – 11, in Saskatoon, for the 11th Annual UFCW Saskatchewan Women’s Conference.
Toronto – February 16, 2017 – UFCW Canada and UFCW Local Unions led the way at dozens of Pride Parades across the country in 2016. In advance of the 2017 Pride Season, UFCW Canada has produced a new resource guide – Creating a UFCW Canada Local Union Pride Committee.
