UFCW attends migrant workers conference at Queen's University
Kingston, Ont. – May 4, 2018 – UFCW recently joined academics and advocates from across North America at a conference exploring issues facing migrant workers in Canada and the United States.




Toronto – April 14, 2018 – Canada’s leading union for young workers had a strong presence at this year’s George Brown College Labour Fair in Toronto, where UFCW Canada activists conducted workshops on the plight of migrant workers in Canada and engaged young workers on how they can make a difference in their workplaces.
Calgary – April 7, 2018 – UFCW Canada activists joined over 200 academics, service providers, and government officials from across the country at the 2018 National Metropolis Conference, held in Calgary from March 22 to 24.
Toronto – March 29, 2018 – April 4 is recognized across Canada as Refugee Rights Day – a day that commemorates the historic April 4, 1985 ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada that refugee claimants are fully protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Toronto – October 14, 2017 – Ma Miela Fabito is one of 20 successful nominators for the 2016 UFCW Canada Migrant Workers Scholarship. Fabito nominated her 13-year-old daughter, Ericiela, as a recipient of the bursary.
