Toronto – January 28, 2025 – February marks a time of reflection, renewal, and advocacy in the UFCW Canada Indigenous Calendar, which highlights significant dates meaningful to Indigenous communities across Canada. The calendar honours Indigenous ways of knowing, respecting natural cycles, cultural ceremonies, and spiritual practices that transcend the conventional Gregorian calendar.

This groundbreaking calendar marks an important step in recognizing and honouring Indigenous cultures, traditions, and histories.

Toronto – September 23, 2024 – Recently, the UFCW Canada Indigenous Sub-Committee held an Indigenous Lobby Day, advocating for the recognition of September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a recognized holiday in the city of Toronto, Hamilton, and Vaughan, Ontario.
