UFCW Prairie activists Light the Night
Edmonton, Alta. & Saskatoon, Sask. – October 16, 2014 – UFCW activists and family members helped raise funds and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) through Light the Night events held recently across the Prairies.


Toronto – October 16, 2014 – Leah Kamau is employed as a live-in caregiver in Ontario. In 2009, she came to Canada from Kenya under the live-in caregiver program. Leah has two children, John and Sarah, who currently live and study in Kenya.
Red Deer, Alta. – October 10, 2014 – For more than three decades, Albert Johnson was an activist, member, and for the past 28 years, the president of UFCW Canada Local 1118. Throughout, he was a tireless and unwavering champion of workers’ rights and deeply loyal to the members he represented.
Edmonton and Calgary – October 9, 2014 – UFCW Local 401 actvists and family members helped Light the Night in both Edmonton and Calgary recently in support of the life-changing efforts of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
Saskatoon, Sask. – October 9, 2014 – More than 120 stewards, activists, and labour and community leaders recently gathered for the UFCW Canada Local 1400 Shop Stewards Conference.
