A message from the new UFCW International President
Washington, D.C. – December 22, 2014 – To the hard working men and women of the UFCW:
I am so incredibly honored to be your new International President. But this election is not about me, it is about the future we must and can build together.


Toronto – December 22, 2014 – Last week’s historic announcement that the United States has agreed to renew full diplomatic relations with Cuba was welcome news for the Cuban people and for UFCW Canada activists and allies who have stood in solidarity with Cuba’s labour movement.
Ottawa – December 20, 2014 – Children at Ottawa-area emergency shelters received hundreds of toys thanks to the efforts of UFCW Canada Local 1000A stewards and activists in the region.
Toronto – December 17, 2014 – UFCW Canada activists across the country recently stepped up to raise awareness about violence against women by holding Shoe Memorials in Vancouver, Saskatoon and Toronto.
Toronto - December 15, 2014 - The Chevron's Dirty Hand public awareness tour across Canada continues to demand justice for thousands of indigenous people who have been poisoned, displaced, or have died from cancer and other diseases linked to Chevron's devastation of the environment around the world.
Toronto – December 11, 2014 – Twenty months after the deadly collapse of the Rana Plaza garment factory in Bangladesh, both progress and protest by UFCW Canada and allies continue to advance the campaign for victim compensation and improved building and workplace safety.
