Toronto – December 19, 2012 – A delegation of former Zellers workers, community leaders, and labour rights advocates called on the Holiday Spirit as they gathered in front of Target Canada headquarters on December 19 to hand deliver more than 1,000 protest letters from Canadians expressing their displeasure with Target’s Walmart-Scrooge-like treatment of retail workers and former Zellers employees in particular.

Quebec City – December 13, 2012 – Dozens of horse carriage drivers, caretakers, and maintenance workers at the Carriages of New France (Les Calèches de la Nouvelle-France) in Quebec City, Quebec recently joined UFCW Canada Local 503 after a majority of workers signed union membership cards.
Ottawa – December 13, 2012 – With the passage of Bill C-377, An Act to Amend the Income Tax Act (requirements for labour organizations) the Harper government continues to show its contempt for workers, their families and Canadian taxpayers.
