Maximum support for Maxi strike

"In all my years I have never seen the membership so committed,” says UFCW Canada Local 503 President André Dumas, as about 900 members at 14 Maxi stores in the Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Sept-Îles, and Rimouski areas have all delivered overwhelming strike mandates to their fourteen negotiating committees. People come here because they believe Canada is a place where hard work is rewarded, and where workers are treated with dignity and respect,” says UFCW Canada National President Wayne Hanley.
