Conférence inauguratrice marque un nouveau début pour les droits des travailleurs

TORONTO, November 17, 2008 — The Ontario Court of Appeal has told the Ontario government to drop its ban on farm unions because it violates the Charter rights of Ontario's more than 100,000 agriculture workers.

Agreement ratified at Maple Leaf Edmonton

 

Workers on strike for seven weeks at the Maple Leaf Poultry plant in Edmonton have ratified a three-year collective agreement reached after the company called the union back to the table in late October.

“We would like to thank all of those who supported us through this strike,” says Albert Johnson, president of Local 1118.
