Quebec City, Que. – March 18, 2014 – UFCW Canada Local 509 is pleased to welcome 80 new members working at Sélection du Pâtissier Inc. An application for certification was filed by the Local 509 on January 12, 2014 seeking representation of the workers at this bakery operation. The bagaining unit has now been certified by the Quebec Labour Relations Commission.

The new members at Sélection du Pâtissier in the Portneuf area now belong to the largest food and retail union in Quebec. They can count on the solidarity of the UFCW Canada's 42,000 members working in the Canadian food processing sector.
