Join the AWA Simcoe 10th Anniversary celebration, September 20

10th anniversary celebration awa simcoe Simcoe, Ont. – September 14, 2013 – Join the celebration this coming Friday, September 20, from 5 - 8 p.m., to mark the tenth anniversary of the Agriculture Workers Alliance (AWA) support centre in Simcoe, Ontario.

All are welcome to join the festivities where workers, activists, allies, friends, and community members will be gathering for a community street festival and barbeque.

Since 2003, the AWA Simcoe centre has been a vital resource, meeting place, and a source of solidarity for migrant agriculture workers employed each season throughout the Simcoe area. "We are grateful for the many friendships we have since the Simcoe centre opened," says National President Wayne Hanley. "We look forward to celebrating those friendships, and to giving thanks to the tremendous contribution that migrant agricultural workers make to our community."
