Winnipeg – July 9, 2013 – Passenger service attendants (PSA) working at Bearskin Airlines in Winnipeg are the newest members of UFCW Canada after a majority said "Yes" to joining Canada's most progressive union. The new Bearskin members proudly join UFCW Canada Local 832, Manitoba’s leading voice for workers.

Bearskin Airlines is a regional airline operating scheduled services to northern Ontario and Manitoba communities. The new Local 832 members at the Richardson Airport in Winnipeg join other UFCW Canada members working as Bearskin Airlines PSA's at the Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout airports. Members at those Ontario locations are represented by UFCW Canada Local 175.

The new Local 832 Bearskin Airlines bargaining unit in Manitoba was certified on July 4, and first-contract negotiations with Bearskin are expected to begin shortly.
