First contract for social service workers at Brandon Housing First
Brandon, Man. – August 25, 2026 – Workers at Brandon House First have ratified their first collective bargaining agreement, following their successful unionization efforts last year.
Highlights of the four-year deal include increase starting rates, establish pay scales to support seniority, employer-paid benefits, and more.
UFCW 832 represents 22 members at Brandon Housing First, who provide support for Brandon’s unhoused population and other vulnerable people, focussing on getting individuals into housing as quickly as possible and then providing a variety of resources and levels of support to help individuals maintain housing stability.
