Uber Eats delivery person back to work after UFCW Canada helps reinstate account
Toronto – July 24, 2026 – An Uber Eats delivery person is back to work after UFCW Canada successfully helped restore access to his account following a deactivation.
When MD Fakar Uddin's Uber Eats delivery account was deactivated, he suddenly lost access to the platform and his ability to earn an income. Unsure of how to navigate the process, he reached out to UFCW Canada for assistance.
Through UFCW Canada's agreement with Uber Canada, drivers and delivery people have access to representation services that help resolve account deactivations, licensing concerns, background checks, and other platform-related issues.
Advocating on MD Fakar Uddin's behalf, UFCW Canada worked to have his account reinstated. Thanks to those efforts, his Uber Eats account was restored, allowing him to get back to work and continue making deliveries.
"A massive thank you to UFCW Canada for standing by me when my Uber Eats account was deactivated," says MD Fakar Uddin. "Having their team in my corner made all the difference. Thanks to their advocacy and hard work, I'm back on the road and delivering again. I'm truly grateful for everything UFCW does to fight for gig workers!"
