Recreation workers ratify new contract – UFCW 1252

Frenchman’s Cove, N.L. – May 14, 2026 – UFCW Local 1252 members working at Grande Meadow Golf Course have ratified a new collective agreement, delivering important gains for workers across the operation.

Highlights of the new three-year contract includes steady wage increases, clothing allowance improvements, improved vacation entitlements, and more.

This new collective agreement represents meaningful progress for Local 1252 members and highlights the power of collective bargaining in achieving better wages, improved benefits, and stronger workplace protections.
