Aramark workers at NSCC join union – UFCW 864
Halifax – May 8, 2026 – Aramark workers at Nova Scotia Community College campuses have voted in favour of joining UFCW Local 864.
The newest members joined the union in order to obtain fair wages, benefits, workplace policies and respect at work.
This organizing campaign was done in conjuncture with the Aramark campaign at the Scotiabank Centre to ensure all Aramark employees receive fair treatment at work without fear of employer retaliation.

UFCW Local 864 is a private-sector labour union representing workers at Cavendish Farms, Atlantic Beef, UPEI, ADL, Beach Point Processing, and O’Leary Co-op.
