Many of UFCW members are on the front lines which means they face 100% of the customers and often a majority of the complaints. While having customer service skills are good, being able to handle their rage can make a real difference.
Food and Retail: Safe Food Handling (Enhanced)
Canada enjoys the reputation of having some of the highest standards in the world when it comes to food. This comes from highly regulated national health standards. This course contains information about the causes of food-borne illnesses and outlines proper food handling methods. It covers storage, time and temperature, and touches on allergies and nutrition. This course provides participants with the knowledge to prevent sickness and deaths from food borne illnesses.
Personal Development: Money Skills (Enhanced)
The average household owes $1.50 of debt for every dollar of income. Many Canadian households are under financial stress leading to anxiety over what the future holds in store – and many feel ill-prepared to manage their financial affairs with confidence and competence. This course will review money attitudes and beliefs, needs vs. wants, saving smart, why people don’t budget, types of financial goals, income, how you spend your money and ways to cut spending.
